Byron Katapaytuk netted a hat trick Friday night, helping the Fort Frances Lakers destroy the visiting Iron Range Ironheads 12-1.
Merritt Rysavy had a goal and three assists for the Lakers, who got singles from eight other goal scroers.
Also tallying for Fort Frances were Steve Terry, Ryan Wildman, Blake Boaz, Bryan Broders, Adam Wensley, Colton Spicer, Davis Smith and Jordan Larson.
Iron Range's loan goal, the first of the contest, came from Shamus O'Neill, just 13 seconds after the opening puck was dropped.
In other Superior International Junior Hockey League action, Wisconsin scored four times in the final period to double the visiting Sioux Lookout Flyers 4-2.
Andrew Anderson scored twice for the first-place Wilderness, with singles going to Mike Dietrich and Zach Blaisdell.
Tanner Duffney gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead before the game was three minutes old, a lead they held until the third, when Anderson tied it at 3:41.
Cody Fraser scored the other Sioux Lookout goal at 7:53 of the third, cutting the lead to 3-2 at the time.
