Glllian Lavoie had a double-double Friday night to help the Lakehead Thunderwolves find the win column once again.
Lavoie scored 13 points and added 10 rebounds to lead the women’s basketball team to a convincing 89-36 thrashing of the first-year Nipissing Lakers.
Jylisa Williams the nation’s leading scorer, had 19 points in just 16 minutes of action, while sophomore guard Cassandra Souleas hit double digits with 10 points.
Claire Abbott had 13 to lead the Lakers.
Lakehead (4-2) led 49-19 at the half.
