Local skiers spend Thanksgiving in Austria

Members of the NTDC Thunder Bay ski team are spending the long weekend in Austria for a special training camp.

THUNDER BAY - Members of the NTDC Thunder Bay ski team are in Austria this Thanksgiving weekend as part of a three week pre-season altitude training camp. During the camp the athletes are training alongside many of the best skiers in the world up at 3000m on the Dachstein Glacier.

The team is staying down at Ramsau (600m) and alternating between training on snow up at elevation and on rollerskis at lower elevations.
