TORONTO – The Wilson Cup playoffs were a short ride for the Lakehead Thunderwolves.

The host Toronto Varsity Blues were too much for the visiting Wolves to handle on Wednesday night, dumping them from the postseason with a convincing 82-61 win.

Kache Kopec dropped 18 points for Lakehead, while Bacarius Dinkins scored a double-double in his swan song, scoring 17 points to go with 10 rebounds.

But it wasn’t enough.

LU dropped three of four quarters to the Varsity Blues, who were led by 18 points from Devin Johnson. Johnson also had a double-double, grabbing a dozen boards.
