NEW LISKEARD, Ont. -- It's off to the championship game at the Northern Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts for Thunder Bay's Krista McCarville rink.
The foursome on Saturday swept both of their matches to finish round-robin play at a perfect 6-0.
In the morning draw McCarville got past Sudbury's Bella Croisier 9-6. She completed her undefeated tournament with a 9-4 win over Sudbury's Abby Deschene.
In six games the seven-time provincial champion outscored her opponents 54-23.
As the first-place finisher Team McCarville, which also includes lead Jen Gates, second Ashley Sippala and third Kendra Lilly, earned a direct bye into Sunday's final.
Sudbury's Krysta Burns clinched a spot in the semifial with an 8-1 win over Crosier in Draw 10 play.
She'll take on either Abby Gebhardt or Laura Johnston on Sunday morning.
Sunday's final is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
On the men's side nine-time Northern Ontario champion Brad Jacobs wrapped up his round-robin slate at 7-0, knocking off Jordan Chandler 7-3. Chandler dropped to 4-3, but clinched a spot in a tiebreaker with Mike Badiuk, who downed Sault Ste Marie's Charlie Robert 8-3 in Saturday's morning draw.
The men's final will take place on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Sandy MacEwan will take on either Badiuk or Chandler in the semifinal.
