Midget Queens drop pair to Shattuck-St. Mary's

Sabres combine to outscore Queens 13-1 in pair of lopsided victories.

FARIBAULT, MInn.  – The Thunder Bay Sportop midget AA Queens dropped the opening two games to a strong Shattuck-St. Mary’s Sabres Prep School side Saturday at the SSM Ice Arena in Faribault, Minn.

Shattuck-St. Mary’s skated to an 8-1 victory in the opener before blanking Thunder Bay 5-0 in the evening match-up.

Molly Kunnas notched the lone Queens’ tally in the Game 1 setback on an assist from Tia Lampo.

Aden Johnson suffered the loss in goal allowing six against in two periods of work while Josée Robinson played the third.

Robinson was in net for Game 2 and turned in a strong performance despite the defeat.

The two sides will wrap-up their three-game set Sunday at noon back in Faribault.
