THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay minor midget Kings will depart for Toronto today to participate in the OHL Cup, which is currently running through Monday.
A total of 20 minor midget clubs from across Ontario and the U.S. will compete in the seven-day event that began with a number of qualifying play-in games Tuesday.
The Kings opening contest goes Wednesday morning against one of the teams that advances through play-in action.
That will be followed with a 7 p.m. match-up later in the day vs. the Waterloo Wolves.
From there, Thunder Bay will take on the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m.
Friday has the Kings taking on the Toronto Jr. Canadiens at 10:15 a.m.
