THUNDER BAY -- The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced on Tuesday the game schedule for its upcoming Bill Salonen Cup final between the defending champion Dryden GM Ice Dogs and the Thunder Bay North Stars.

This best-of-seven match-up will begin Saturday, April 14 at Memorial Arena in Dryden at 7:30 p.m. CT.

The two sides will meet again Sunday, April 15 back in Dryden at 4 p.m.

From there the series shifts to the Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay for Games 3 and 4, on Tuesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 18 with both contests beginning at 7:30 p.m.

If a Game 5 is needed, it would be held in Dryden on Friday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. CDT.

Should a Game 6 be necessary, the North Stars would host it on Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. ET at the Gardens.

Then, if the series goes the maximum, the GM Ice Dogs would have home ice for Game 7, which is slated for Monday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. CDT at Memorial Arena.

Both clubs will also represent the SIJHL at the Dudley-Hewitt Cup, May 1 to May 5, in Dryden.

They’ll be joined by either the Cochrane Crunch or Rayside-Balfour Canadians of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League along with the title holder from the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

In OJHL action, the Wellington Dukes have already punched their ticket to the Buckland Trophy final where they will meet either the Toronto Patriots or Georgetown Raiders, who have Game 7 in their conference final tonight.

All SIJHL postseason contests will be streamed online live and on demand via HockeyTV.com.
