Baseball fans who have purchased a seat for the upcoming World Junior Baseball Championships can now go and see the seating available at Baseball Central.

Crews have been working since last weekend to install bleachers at the venue. The new bleachers are expected to hold at least 900 people.

Four sets of seats will be installed behind centre field at Port Arthur Stadium, which will be "the best seats in the house" according to Operations Director Reg Galbraith. The new bleachers will allow the stadium seating for 6,000.

Galbraith said that the dozens of volunteers who helped build the seats have been a big help.

Galbraith said there are still things left to do, but the stadium will be ready for opening game day.

"It’s like a big fire drill now," Galbraith said. "We have a lot of stuff to do."

The World Junior Baseball Championships get underway next Friday morning.
