The midget division will see the First Class Gas bantam AA Queens, playing up an age group, claw their way to a 1-0 semifinals victory over the Thunder Bay midget Fury. Emile Varrin had the lone goal, and Alyssa Aho picked up the shutout. They will take on Schreiber North Shore Stars at 11 a.m. after the Stars upset the previously unbeaten Winnipeg East bantam AA Saints 2-1 in the other match.

The Manshield Construction Queens will face off against the Fort Frances Leafs at 9:30 for the bantam crown in another regional showdown.

The championship action will kick off at 8 a.m. as the Triad Contracting Queens look to claim the first trophy of the day against the Winnipeg East Saints.

In other action, the Sportop midget AA Queens topped the Norcan Travel and Tours midget A Queens by a 4-0 score in the midget showcase game on Saturday.

Samantha Strassburger scored the game winner just four minutes into the contest, and Jayde Turcotte steered aside all shots fired in her direction.

Samantha Isbell had a pair of goals, and Kaley Tienhaara had the fourth of the game to cap off a three-point outing.
