Queens squads hit road

The Thunder Bay Queens are hitting the tournament trail this weekend.

The midget AA squad is off to Blaine, Minn. where they’ll compete in the Bauer National Invitational Tournament, while the bantam AA team is heading to southern Ontario for a date in the Windsor Hocktoberfest tournament.

The defending national champion midget side will commence weekend play on Friday night when they take on the host Upper Midwest Elite Hockey League White at 7:30 p.m. EST.

The bantam Queens will play the Bluewater Hawks from Strathroy, Ont. on Friday morning. Later in the day they’ll tangle with the Chicago Mission.
