Rolland, Correa named to North Division all-star team

Border cats catcher Christian Correa and outfielder Tyler Rolland are headed to the Northwoods League all-star game. Rolland tops all Cats hitters with a .310 batting average, a homer and 14 RBI. He’s also been plunked a league-high 12 times.

Correa is hitting .287 and has two home runs, six doubles and 13 driven in.

The two players will represent the North Division squad, which boasts give players from the Waterloo Bucks and four from the Mankato Moondogs. Willmar and St. Cloud are sending three players apiece, while Rochester, Eau Claire and Alexandria will supply a pair of players each. The Duluth Huskies will only have one representative at the game, being played in Mequon, Wisc. 

The last-place Cats, who host Eau Claire on Friday night at Port Arthur Stadium, are 1-7 in second-half play, dropping seven straight after opening with a win. The Cats fell 8-5 in 11 innings on Thursday night.
