BOSTON -- Ryan McDonald is the city’s top finisher at the 2016 Boston Marathon.
The 42-year-old Thunder Bay runner ran the 42-kilometrer course on Monday in a net time of 3:18:08, crossing the finish line in 4,432nd overall.
Forty-six-year-old John Hawkins was the next local runner to complete the famous course, finishing in 3:35:53, while Dougall Media's own Barry George crossed in 3:39:08. Thunder Bay's Edward Holbik ran in it in 3:40:45, while David Lammers crossed in 10,835th place in a time of 3:47:44.
Rosslyn's Bettysue Annala was the top local female finisher, cruising home in 3:47:35.
