Border Cats infielder A.J. Schugel has been drafted by the Los Angeles Angels on Day 2 of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
He was taken in the 25th round, 774th overall.
Schugel is off to a slow start in 2010, hitting just .158 in five games with the Northwoods League-leading Cats (4-1). He hit .261 last year, leading Thunder Bay with four home runs and 33 RBIs.
