The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday that Jordan Shockley of the Duluth Clydesdales has been named Pizza Hut player of the week for the period ending Oct. 30.

In three games this past week the 19-year-old Duluth native had a goal and dished out six assists helping the Clydesdales register a pair of victories.

After an assist in a game at Thunder Bay Wednesday, Shockley added three helpers in a Friday win at Iron Range and wrapped up his award-winning performance by notching a goal and setting up two others in a home ice triumph over the Iron Heads on Sunday.

His efforts allowed him to extend a consecutive game point streak to five straight contests while also moving up to fifth overall in SIJHL offensive production with 21 points.

Honourable mention for the player of the week award went to Byron Katapaytuk, (F) Fort Frances Lakers; Chris Hoffman, (F) Sioux Lookout Flyers; Carter McEachern, (G) Thunder Bay North Stars; Jesse Linner, (F) Dryden Ice Dogs; Tanner Milliron (G) Wisconsin Wilderness and Christopher Andre (F) Iron Range Iron Heads.

At the conclusion of the 2011-12 regular season the top player in the SIJHL will be presented with the Pizza Hut player of the year award.
