Staal Foundation Open expected back in 2017

Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada event has enjoyed a three-year run in Thunder Bay.

THUNDER BAY -- Officials behind the Staal Foundation Open have called a news conference to discuss the future of the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada event.

It's expected it will be announced the golf tournament will be returning to Whitewater Golf Course in 2017, for the fourth straight year. 

Last year's event was won by American Taylor Moore, who has since moved on to full-time play on the Web.com Tour.
