RALEIGH, N.C. -- Jordan Staal has been placed on injured reserve after suffering a concussion.
Staal was injured in Sunday's game against the Florida Panthers. There is no timetable set for his return. In the interim, Phil Di Giuseppe has been called up.
Staal has played in 21 games so far this season and has five goals and four assists.
