The semifinals are set in the Superior International Junior Hockey League.
The Fort Frances Lakers, who took the 1-2 play-down two-set series over first-place Wisconsin in a shootout earned the right to choose their opponent in the next playoff round.
The Lakers will take on the Dryden Ice Dogs, leaving the Thunder Bay North Stars to go up against the Wisconsin juggernaut that went 49-6-1 in the regular season and finished with 99 points, 18 more than second-place Fort Frances and 31 more than the North Stars.
The playoff schedule has yet to be finalized by the league.
