The Jr. B Stars notched a seven-spot in the first period en route to a 10-3 drubbing of the Screaming Eagles Tuesday evening in Thunder Bay Jr. B/Juvenile/AAA Hockey League play at the Tournament Centre.

Jordan Miller paced the Stars’ opening period offensive barrage by scoring three times including once on a penalty shot late in the frame.

Patrick Mielke, Dezi Legallais, Noah Cain and Brandon Wolframe supplied the other markers in the stanza.

The two sides would exchange a pair of tallies apiece in the second with Travis Tom tallying twice for the Eagles while Sean Moulton and Wolframe replied for the Stars.

In the third Legallais tacked on the final goal the Stars finishing off a four-point evening.

Tom would complete his hat-trick for Eagles to round out the night’s scoring.

Greg Turner made 31 stops to pick up the win for the Stars who fired 39 shots on both Brandon Martin and Valley Quechagon during their respective stints in the Eagles’ net.

The same two sides will go at it again Thursday as they meet at Delaney Arena. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
