Stars stay perfect

An early two goal deficit was not enough to keep the Thunder Bay North Stars from maintaining their perfect record.

An early two goal deficit was not enough to keep the Thunder Bay North Stars from maintaining their perfect record.

The North Stars scored five unanswered goals, two of them from Cary Brown, to record a 5-2 victory on the road against the Dryden Ice Dogs on Friday night.

Mathias Gardiman got Thunder Bay on the board after Tyson Holder and Rory Court each found the back of the net in the first period.

Brown then proceeded to score both the equalizer, as well as the go-ahead goal in the second period as the North Stars did not look back en route to their fourth victory of the campaign.

Gardiman finished with a goal and a helper, and Eric Mann picked up the victory in net making 17 saves in the process.
