Strong second propels North Stars past Ice Dogs

Taylor Santorelli scored twice and added an assist Saturday night to help the Thunder Bay North Stars salvage a weekend split with the visiting Dryden Ice Dogs.

Santorelli scored the equalizer 3:38 into the first, then added a shorthanded marker late in the second to help secure the 6-4 win.
Kenny Turner, Tim Cavar, Matthias Gardiman and Kris Kellaway also scored for Thunder Bay, who took a 2-1 lead after one and a 6-3 lead after 40 minutes.

David Lamanna, Dane Feeney, who tied the game 2-2 1:24 into the second, Chris Sitko and Cody Kaus had the Ice Dogs goals.

The Stars head to English River on Friday and host the Wisconsin Wilderness on Saturday.
