T-Wolves Jenkins suffers broken ankle

Injury occurred during preseason, timetable for return indefinite says Lakehead coach
Billy Jenkins

THUNDER BAY -- Sophomore Lakehead Thunderwolves forward Billy Jenkins has been diagnosed with a broken ankle.

Coach Bill McDonald said Jenkins will be wearing a boot on his foot and is expected to miss significant time, although the fourth-year coach did not pinpoint a timetable for his return.

Jenkins, 22, had 11 goals and 13 assists in 24 games as a rookie last season.

He suffered the injury during the preseason.

The Wolves (2-2-0) travel to Concordia this weekend.
