Caitlin Tarabocchia netted 20 points on Thursday to lead the Superior Collegiate Gryphons to a 56-28 drubbing of the winless Churchill Trojans in varsity girls basketball.
In other action, St. Ignatius dropped Westgate 61-34.
On the junior varsity court, Kaitie Dampier scored 11 points in Westgate’s 40-30 win over St. Ignatius, paced by Lauren Maki’s 14.
Elsewhere Keira Fieldhouse netted a game-high seven points as Churchill edged Superior 34-32.
In varsity boys basketball it was St. Ignatius over winless Dennis Franklin Cromarty 3-0, Churchill over Hammarskjold 2-1 and Westgate maintained its hold on top spot with a 3-0 win over St. Patrick.
St. Ignatius swept Superior 3-0 in junior varsity play and Hammarskjold slipped past Churchill 2-1.
