Trojans trounce Saints

The Churchill Trojans didn’t take any prisoners on Thursday, trouncing the St. Patrick Saints 39-0 in junior boys high school football. Halfback Justin Fui led a powerful ground attack, rushing for 91 yards and a score.
The Churchill Trojans didn’t take any prisoners on Thursday, trouncing the St. Patrick Saints 39-0 in junior boys high school football.

Halfback Justin Fui led a powerful ground attack, rushing for 91 yards and a score. Quarterback Jared White also a good day on the gridiron throwing for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Trojans improved to 3-1 on the season.

St. Patrick fell to 1-3 with the loss.

In other junior boys play top-ranked St. Ignatius scored seven touchdowns in routing winless Superior Collegiate 58-6.

Halfback Mile Miceli carried the ball three times for 97 yards and two scores. Jamie Dacosta had a 112-yard pick-six for the 4-0 Falcons. Superior dropped to 0-4.

Elsewhere Westgate (3-1) blanked Hammarskjold (1-3) 12-0.
