Ultimate Gymnastics Provincial Women’s Artistic Gymnastics squad returned home from the Gymnastics Ontario Provincial Qualifier in Bracebridge, Ontario this past weekend with an exciting tally of 7 medals, making 15 trips to the podium in total.
Representing the club in Bracebridge were Christie Collinns, Katerina Hamar and Emily Ukrainec, competing in the Level 9 – Age 13+ category.
Collinns and Hamar grabbed 3 gold medals between them, and the remainder of awards were split equally between Ukrainec, Hamar and Collinns. Collinns continued to add bling to her year, grabbing a silver medal in the All-Around category.
The athletes will wrap up their qualifying season next weekend in Ottawa, with a berth in the Ontario Gymnastics Championships in April on the line.
Ultimate Gymnastics is excited to announce the hiring of a world renowned Head Coach from Krugersdorp, South Africa, taking gymnastics to new heights in the community. Ownership will make an official announcement in March.
