The Thunderwolves just couldn’t get the offence going Saturday night against Parker Van Buskirk and the Windsor Lancers.

Long a Lakehead nemesis, Van Buskirk stopped 32 of 32 shots he faced, pacing the Lancers to a 3-0 win to salvage a weekend split on home ice.

Spencer Pommels scored twice for Windsor, the first-period winner credited to Drew Palmer, who beat LU goalie Jeff Bosch 47 seconds into the contest.

Bosch made 29 saves in the loss for LU (15-6-1), who failed to grab top spot in the OUA West and remain a point behind top-ranked Western. Windsor improve d to 14-9-0.

Lakehead has lost four of its last six games and will host Ottawa next weekend on Friday and Saturday at Fort William Gardens.
