Cold weather has forced organizers to push back the Kamview Tour cross country races by a week.

Organizer Marianne Stewart on Thursday said the mass start event will start at 10 a.m. on Feb. 9. It was originally scheduled for Saturday at Kamview Nordic Centre.

“We want this to be an enjoyable event for all participants, not a lesson in cold weather survival,” Stewart said in a release.

Skiers can choose events ranging from five to 30 kilometres, in what Stewart deemed a great warm-up for the March 2 Sleeping Giant Loppet. To register, contact Kamview at 475-7081, visit Fresh Air Experience or Rollin’ Thunder.

Participants can also download a registration form at nordictrails-tb.on.ca.
