The owners of the Lowery's Sports Dome are weighing their options about what to do with half of the recreation facility.

"The owners are meeting and they have a lot of exciting new options to consider," said Sandi Boucher, consultant for the Sports Dome.

The Sports Dome closed in July for renovations to be completed. A spokesperson for the dome at the time said it would re-open in September.

The dome is still closed, but soccer fans don't have to worry as everything scheduled for the fields inside the facility are still on as scheduled starting in October.

"We're honouring our commitments with the soccer leagues and all of that's taking place as per the norm," said Boucher.

When the facility does re-open only the fields will be in use.

The mini-putt course, basketball court and other facilities will be closed while the owners consider some possible new options for that side.
