THUNDER BAY – The Westfort Maroons Atom A team finished second place in the B side championships this past weekend.
On Sunday, the Westfort Maroons made it to the B side finals in the Elks Tom Thumb Tournament against the Sioux Flyers, but they were unable to push past the Flyers and came up two goals short in a 3 - 1 game.
This tournament was the last in this year’s hockey season for Thunder Bay.
Some athletes will now go on to compete in the 3-on-3 tournament in two weeks.
