Wolves blanked in Windsor

It’s a start to the season the Lakehead Thunderwolves would probably rather forget.
It’s a start to the season the Lakehead Thunderwolves would probably rather forget.

The offensively challenged hockey squad managed just one goal in two road games in Windsor this weekend, falling 3-0 Saturday night on the heels of a 5-1 drubbing the night before.

Thunder Bay’s Kyle Tront had a goal and an assist and Jim Watt stopped 42 Lakehead shots to earn the shutout as the Lancers handed Lakehead (1-2-1) it’s third defeat in four games in 2010-11.

Jonathan Sciacca and Brett Vandehogen had the other Windsor goals on LU goalie Alex Dupuis.
