After a rough two games, the Lakehead Thunderwolves men's basketball team will return home with a win under their belt.

Lakehead closed the House-Laughton Tournament in Ottawa with a 68-60 victory over the Bishop Gaiters on Sunday.

Dwayne Harvey led Lakehead scorers with 20 points, and Anthony McIntosh, Igor Lebov and Henry Tan each figured with double-figures in points.

The Thunderwolves trailed 38-28 at the halftime break, but responded in the second half.

Lakehead interim head coach Matt Erdman said that despite a sloppy start, the team turned things around as the game went along.

"It was good to get a win under our belts but we still struggled out of the gate and turned it over way too many times in the first half," Erdman said. "The second half game plan was executed and things started to turn our way. We took care of the ball and played with the sense of urgency needed on a nightly basis."

The Thunderwolves close out their non-conference slate next weekend in Winnipeg.
