Wolves roll over Lions

McDonald netted his fourth and fifth goals of the OUA campaign and Caria had a goal and an assist, leading the Lakehead Thunderwolves to a 5-2 win over the York Lions, improving their record to 4-2-1.

Defenceman Mike Quesnele, who has 11 points in seven games, chipped in three assists in support of Alex Dupuis, who stopped 34 shots in taking the win.

Adam Sergerie, who equalled Caria’s output, and Trevor Gamache, with his first OUA tally, also scored for the Wolves.

Jesse Messier and Mackenzie Micks were the Lions goal scorers.

The two teams meet again on Saturday night, this time in Orillia.
