The Wolves posted an identical 3-1 win Saturday night over the visiting Ryerson Rams, equalling their output of the night before in moving to 2-0 in OUA play. The Wolves lost the first set 16-25, but came back to win three straight, by scores of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-21.

Vanessa Chorkaway finished with 23 points on 20 kills, two aces and a stuff block, while Jorie Daymond had 11 on nine kills and two aces.

LU coach Chris Green said he wasn’t thrilled with his team’s early play, but was glad to see they picked it up as the match went on.

“There’s no doubt that our team will be an entertaining show for the fans this year. We have to continue to improve on managing the low points in the game and capitalizing on the highs, so the women, as athletes, can control their destiny on the court and be ready to perform.

Lakehead will take on RMC next weekend in Kingston.
