Wolves Williams gets OUA West all-star nod

Jylisa Williams only played half a season for the Lakehead Thunderwolves, but she made an all-star impression. The Atlanta native on Tuesday was rewarded for her efforts, one of five players named to the OUA West first all-star team.

Williams, on Tuesday named LU women’s basketball team’s athlete of the month for February, finished second to OUA West MVP with 20.2 points a game in 12 contests.

She finished runner-up to McMaster’s Hailey Milligan with 10.8 rebounds a night, fifth in assists with 4.8 a game and third in steals at 2.8.
