A four-goal second period propelled the Fort Frances Lakers to victory on SIJHL opening night.

THUNDER BAY -- Tom Warden says it’s still up in the air where the Lakehead Thunderwolves hockey team will play a chunk of its games should a new event centre be built in Thunder Bay.

There will be plenty of new faces when the Lakehead Thunderwolves kick off non-conference play Friday night against the Mount Royal Cougars.
