Liberal leader recommitted to the plan during a campaign stop in Thunder Bay that saw him address his plan to help Ontario's Indigenous people thrive, economic development and proceed with a ranked-ballot system.

NDP leader was supposed to be in the city on Friday, but a COVID-19 diagnosis forced her to cancel the visit. She said solutions to the growing violence issue is mirrored in other communities in Ontario, but the solutions for each may look a lot different. Horwath also committed to solving a myriad of issues plaguing First Nations communities, promising to send the bill to Ottawa.

PC candidate Peng You would neither confirm nor deny that the party had advised him to skip the debate.

Voters have been able to cast special ballots since the election was called, but advanced polls are now open, through May 28 in some locations.

NDP leader was also scheduled to visit Kenora. She's the second major party leader to test positive for COVID-19 this week.

For the second time this week, Conservative and New Blue Party candidates were no-shows at an all-candidate forum.

Three of five candidates in the Thunder Bay-Superior North race attended Tuesday night's forum, put on by the Thunder Bay and District Injured Workers Group.
