There are many different cannabis products available at Thunder Bay’s Toke House dispensary, and if you’re new to cannabis or simply looking to learn more, you’ve come to the right place.

The market for cannabis products offers various types of things such as dried flower, pre-rolls, oils, shatter, edibles and much more. Here’s a list of all the cannabis-related products you can find at Toke House.

Flower

The majority of cannabis products come from the dried flower and leaves of the cannabis plant, according to Ontario Cannabis Store’s (OCS) website. Dispensaries carry a variety of dried flower strains. This option generally needs to be broken down into smaller bits before consumption.

Milled Flower

Unlike dried flower, milled flower is a “ready to roll” option and is typically ideal for individuals looking for a more convenient alternative. This choice is typically ideal for joints and bowls.

Whole flower or “bud”

Whole flower or “buds” are the dried buds of the female cannabis plant. This is one of the most popular forms of cannabis and can be consumed either by smoking, vaporizing, or used in edibles.

Pre-rolls

A pre-roll is a ready-to-use joint filled with cannabis you can buy at a dispensary. You can buy them individually or in packs.

Hash

Hash is a concentrate from the cannabis plant. It is usually brown or dark green in colour and comes in the form of a brick. It can be used with flower or used in a dab rig, according to Leafly.ca.

Oils

Cannabis oils are extracts from the cannabis plants. Dispensaries carry a wide range of both CBD and THC oils. Cannabis oil is cannabis extract mixed with a neutral oil. Typically, an individual may use oil as an alternative to smoking or vaporizing. It is typically taken orally with a dropper or a spray top.

Topicals

Cannabis topicals include a variety of products such as balms, creams, lotions, oils and sprays. They can be used for a variety of purposes like skincare, first-aid, cosmetics, pain-relief, soreness and more. Topicals are non-intoxicating.

Shatter

Shatter is a cannabis extract that is solid and translucent. The name comes from its glass-like consistency that tends to crack or shatter when it is broken apart. It is usually consumed through dab rig.

Tinctures

Tinctures are liquid and highly concentrated herbal extracts made by soaking herbs in alcohol, vegetable glycerin or oil. Similar to edibles, tinctures are ingested orally. For more information, visit Insider’s guide on more information on tinctures.

Infused Beverages

Cannabis-infused beverages are similar to edibles in the sense they are absorbed through the digestive tract. Cannabis drinks come in many different varieties including flat or sparkling waters, and tea bags.

Honey Oil

Honey oil or hash oil is an amber-coloured concentrate and is used to make shatter and wax. Both these forms are consumed through the dabbing process.

Edibles

Edibles are food products that have been infused with cannabis extracts. They are a smoke-free alternative to consuming dried-cannabis. Typically, the effects of edibles take longer than when inhaling cannabis. It can take up to four hours to feel the effects of some edibles.

Distillate

Distillate is an extract from the cannabis plant. It is a runny and translucent oil that can be consumed by vaporizing, dabbing or used as an ingredient in edibles or other products.

CBD Isolate

CBD isolate is a crystalline solid or powder that contains 99 per cent pure CBD. During a traditional extraction process, all the active compounds are removed from the cannabis plant including THC. One of the most significant benefits of CBD isolate is that it contains no THC. It is typically consumed by mixing with food or drinks.

Bath Bombs

CBD-infused bathbombs can be added to warm bath water for a relaxing sensation. Some benefits include improving sleep quality and reducing stress and anxiety.

Rosin

Rosin is a cannabis concentrate made by using heat and pressure to extract the cannabis compounds. Typically, rosin is more expensive than concentrates made with solvents.
