A local youth, Dexen Vescio, is participating in the Sports Illustrated Athlete of the Year contest, with proceeds supporting verified charities.
Dexen has been a loyal member at Loch and you can find him in the park every chance he gets...snowboarding is more than a hobby for him, it's what he lives for!
Dexen made it into the second round of the contest, the top 15! Dexen is currently in 6th place in his group. By sharing his story and highlighting his ranking so far in the contest, it will encourage our community to vote for him via the link below.
With enough support through voters in Thunder Bay and the surrounding area, hopefully he will get enough votes by August 14th to move into the third round of the international contest.
