Race Night Recap – Wet, Wild & Windy
Perfect conditions greeted racers last night, with strong winds and steadily building waves setting the stage for a thrilling evening on the water. Crews were pushed to their limits, working hard to keep the boats on course as they heeled over under full sail. Waves crashing over the bow made it a wet and wild ride—especially for the foredeck crew, who bore the brunt of the spray and chaos.
It was a demanding race from start to finish, requiring focus, coordination, and grit from every team. Notably, the C Fleet rose to the occasion, thriving in the heavy conditions. They finished closely grouped, and—remarkably—beat out the rest of the fleet across the line, a rare and impressive feat. Winners were Gongshow, Rumba and Blade Runner!
