THUNDER BAY -- Snow be gone. Rowing is in the air. In defiance of the latest wintery blast, Thunder Bay Rowing Club has put their docks back in the Kaministiquia and a few of their keenest rowers have been out rowing.
With warmer weather forecasts promising to put winter finally to rest, preparations are underway for Learn-to-Row courses in the next few weeks and an Open House this weekend.
On Saturday, May 4, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. the Thunder Bay Rowing Club hosts its annual Open House at 755 Dock Street, next to the Kaministiquia River Park.
Get a tour of the facilities and learn about competitive and recreational programs for anyone from teen to senior. TBRC also offers two spring Learn-to-Row sessions and four summer Youth Camps.
