MINNEAPOLIS, MN. -- The Superior North Volleyball Club sent two squads to the Minneapolis Volleyball Smackfest, and wound up meeting each other in the final.

Both teams are composed of high school players from Thunder Bay and surrounding areas.

Team Blue went undefeated in pool play and in playoffs.

Team Blue was lead by their middles Tyson Mayer and Cam Harri and great setting form Alex Krassey.

Team White finished third after pool play and battled hard in the semi-final match to eventually win 15 – 13 in the deciding set.

Team White was lead by their setter Simon Bezanson and middle Noah Rochon and outside hitter Ian Campbell.

This is the second straight tournament win for team blue and both teams will now prepare for the final NCR Showcase tournament in March.
