Ultimate gymnasts bring home the bling

50 gymnasts represented Ultimate Gymnastics at the 2023 Winter Spectacular in St. Paul, capturing a combined total of 62 medals

Ultimate Gymnastics Women’s Artistic Gymnastics competitive squad returned home from their competition this past weekend in Minnesota with the lion’s share of bling, earning dozens of trips to the medals podium.

Fifty gymnasts suited up to represent the local club in the 2023 Winter Spectacular Feb. 3rd – 5 at the St. Paul RiverCenter, hosted by Classic Gymnastics, with more than half the athletes marking their very first appearance in a competition. 

Highlights included two 1st Place Team Awards in the Xcel Silver and Bronze divisions, as well as a 2nd Place Team Award in the Xcel Gold category. Individually the club’s athletes walked away with a combined 62 Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals.

Arianna Sutton, the club’s All Around top finisher, also landed atop her category on Vault, Uneven Bars and Floor. Alli Baraniuk, Atley Gallant, Blakely Jacobsen and Taylor Shaw rounded out the top five finishes for the club.

Doing their part to contribute to the overall tally were Oliva Kontzie, Jessica Otto, Poppy Henderson, Kayln Crocker, Brynnly Leroux, Avery Martin, Zara Reboks, Amanda Mastrangelo, Maya Suarez, Sophie Staal, Anna Radul, Milly Fiorito, Emma Shwaluk, Cadie Williamson, Malia Sutton, Alivia Anderson, Tiandra Caruso, Ryann Chesterman, Quinn Restoule, Ella Caccamo, Audrey Harrison, Elin Lindstrom, Kate Radul, Paeyton Adduono, Chloe Trelinski-Fleming, Ali Walsh, Arya Starkey, Keavy Crocker, Harper-Rose Kovacs, Reece Chesterman, Alivia Larizza, Eva Langen, Maddie Logan, Arja MacLean, Isla Mehra-Bova, Emily Vita, Kyla Dubinsky, Trinity Bisignano, Harper MacPhail, Jaimey Newbold, Paisley Bisignano, Olivia Agostino, Fiona Agostino, Emmersyn Gallant and Grace Gagnon.

Up next, several athletes will head to Ottawa and Whitby in March for two back-to-back weekend Gymnastics Ontario Provincial Qualifiers.
