Thunder Bay born and raised Hailey and Bree Hollinsworth have been growing the sustainable clothing business, Ungalli Clothing Co., since 2013. Committed to support local enterprises and eco-friendly products, they've most recently collaborated with a variety of local crafters, vendors and entrepreneurs and opened a brand new location in the down-town Port Arthur area called, Ungalli Clothing Co + Local Collective. The sisters wanted a place where smaller-scale and micro-businesses could share a permanent location as Thunder Bay's one-stop shop to browse products from local entrepreneurs and creatives.
"We're really excited to bring this one-stop shop to Thunder Bay. We're very appreciative of all the support from our customers and we're just overwhelmed with the positive response," said Hailey. The local collective's grand opening celebration was held on Friday, March 1st at the new location on Cumberland street in the former Crocks building. Hundreds of people filed through to enjoy food, drinks, prizes and visited each member of the collective who were showcasing their own unique products including jewelry, artwork, hand-forged metal works, clothing, furniture, and more. The growing list of vendors includes Bloom Forward Furniture, Chicks n’ Hens, Epica Pictures, Gold Sparrow, Hippie Assemblage, Northies Brand, Red Fox Forge, Three Huggers Beeswax Food Wraps, Tuija Hansen Fibre Design, Wild Badger, Family Stone, Lost Artwork, and Lindy's Spare Time Sign Design.
Hailey and Bree look forward to growing within Thunder Bay and helping to support the other local vendors within the collective as well.
