This choice demonstrates a lack of understanding of both historical and present-day implications with regard to the process of decolonization.

Also of concern is the way the NWMO article tries to promote their proposed nuclear waste site near Ignace, Wabigoon and Dryden.

Some cities in Ontario, including Toronto, have an auditor general on staff who assists city council in holding itself and staff accountable to taxpayers.

I say this because trying to pass four or five transports "bunched up" is not only stupid but very hazardous when travelling at over 130 + km/hr.

With city taxpayers looking at an average increase of $200 on their tax bill in 2024 ( 5.5 per cent increase) surely the city should listen to the taxpayers who will be responsible for paying for this massive expenditure.

We currently have ward representatives and at-large representatives. Every community in Ontario is different. Perhaps we should look at a different model too.

These lavish contributions were not provided simply to compensate the township for consulting expenses related to the NWMO’s proposed project - a deep geological repository for highly radioactive nuclear fuel waste, 45 km west of town.

When asked about how we interact or communicate with city council, we should also be asked about how well members of city council respond to our communication.

Transport drivers are not always to blame for collisions, trucking companies may also be at fault.

Residents of affected communities should have a say on a potential nuclear waste storage site in Northwestern Ontario.
