Another lottery ticket worth $500,000 sold in Thunder Bay

For the second time in less than two weeks, a second lottery ticket worth $500,000 was sold in the Thunder Bay area.

THUNDER BAY - Another lucky lotto winner in the Thunder Bay area is $500,000 richer following last week’s Maxmillions draw.

According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, of the seven Maxmillions prizes drawn on June 8 worth $500,000, one ticket was sold in the Thunder Bay area.

Other winning tickets were sold in Bowmanville, the Burlington area, Markham, Toronto, the Toronto area, the Welland area. The winning Lotto Max ticket worth $60 million was sold in Quebec. 

Nine prizes worth $1,000,000 each were sold in the London area, Mississauga, Ottawa, the Pembroke area, Toronto, Whitby, Windsor and on PlayOLG.ca.

The winning ticket in the Encore draw worth $1 million was also sold in Sudbury.

On June 2, another lucky Thunder Bay resident purchased a ticket that won $500,000 in the $60 million Maxmillions draw.

The Lotto Max Draw will take place on Friday, June 15 and $35 million is still up for grabs.
