THUNDER BAY – An apartment sustained heavy damage following an early Tuesday morning blaze.
Firefighters with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to reports of a fire just before 2 a.m. in the 200 block of Manitou Street.
Firefighters were able to contain most of the fire damage to a single unit, but other nearby apartments did suffer some smoke damage.
Red Cross personnel were on the scene to help displaced tenants.
No injuries were reported as a result of this fire.
The cause remains unknown and the fire is under investigation.
