RBC employees continued to give a Habitat for Humanity home the royal treatment over the weekend.

RBC employees volunteered to help put some of the finishing touches to a Johnson Avenue home on Saturday.  The volunteers worked on trimwork, cupboards, painting and closet installation. In addition to the hands-on work, RBC Foundation donated $20,000 to Habitat for Humanity earlier in the year to help in the project.

Michael Nitz, branch manager for the RBC Royal Bank on Arthur Street, said the company is always interested in helping out the community and donating money and time is just one way to accomplish that goal.

“We’re just here to help out,” Nitz said. “Habitat for Humanity has had a longstanding relationship in Thunder Bay and we want to help out whatever way we can. This is what we love doing. RBC has a lot of volunteers that we’re able to do something like this.”
