THUNDER BAY — A local woman is facing stunt driving charges for allegedly driving well over twice the speed limit.
Police saide a driver was clocked going 121 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone along Onion Lake Road, Monday evening around 8:30.
Thunder Bay Police Service posted a video on Facebook detailing the incident.
The 39-year-old female driver, who has not been identified by police, was pulled over and charged for going 71km over the speed limit.
She was charged with stunt driving and speeding, in addition to the 30-day roadside license suspension and the 14-day impoundment of the vehicle.
In court, a fine for stunt driving could be anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000, as well as include jail time for up to six months and a one to three-year license suspension.
