THUNDER BAY -- Environment Canada is urging Thunder Bay residents to bundle up.
The government weather agency states a period of very cold wind chills is expected Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
Minimum low temperatures of -30C to -35C with wind chill values near -40C.
Risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter.
Make sure to cover up as frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
If it's too cold for you to stay outside, it's too cold for your pet to stay outside.
