THUNDER BAY — Fort William Historical Park will remain closed for at least three weeks due to public health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus.
"Our primary concern is the health and safety of our visitors and staff. We fully support the efforts of the Province to protect our community and stakeholders during this challenging time," park general manager Sergio Buonocore said in a statement late Sunday.
The park is working with the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries in monitoring the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Buonocore said updates will be provided as more information becomes available in the weeks ahead.
At this time, the closure is scheduled to last through April 5.
